The CEDiT dinoflagellate type collection is part of the Herbarium Senckenbergianum of the Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum. The collection is located in Wilhelmshaven and to deposit type material please contact the curator Mona Hoppenrath ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). It is possible to submit SEM stubs, resin embedded TEM preparations and/or fixed samples/culture material. We are not running a culture collection, so living cultures can't be accepted.

- name of the taxon and authority
- type locality
- date of collection
- reference
- strain number and collection name, if a culture was deposited in a culture collection
- GenBank accession number, if a sequence of the type material was deposited
- type of permanent preparation or fixation (and if possible the date of preparation and the name of the person who did the preparation)
